  • Last Saturday my eldest granddaughter was married and I had a wonderful time at the reception, dancing for over two hours to all kinds of music…mostly fast! A year ago at this time I had practically stopped my practice of daily walking—much less dancing.  This was because I had continual pain in my knees and lower back, making exercise painful. In October of 2009 I met Dr. Tasco at a health seminar and began seeing him on a regular basis later that month.  He has worked with me since then and the pain in my back and knees is gone…due in large part to his excellent chiropractic care.  I have found him to be extremely conscientious, caring, and willing to take extra time with me whenever I have concerns or questions…Thank you, Dr. Tasco!

  • I was suffering from vertigo for 6 weeks and was getting frustrated because I was taking different medicines to help with the dizziness and none of them helped.  Later I went to take the test to determine where the dizziness was coming from which was determined to be the middle ear.  The actual test made you dizzier.  I was told by my doctor that they didn’t know how long it would last.  After that I started researching about Vertigo and Chiropractic.  While I was talking with my sister-in-law she recommended I see Dr. Tasco.   When I went to Goodison Family Chiropractic the staff was very friendly and the technology this office has is great.  I’ve been to a number of other Chiropractors but they didn’t offer this type of technology.  Dr. Tasco takes his time with you and explains everything in detail; he wants to make sure you understand your test results and how the treatments will help. After my first adjustment I went home and about 1 ½ hours later I felt the sensation of water draining from my left ear.  I haven’t had my vertigo since that day.  I’m so grateful for this because being dizzy and trying to do day to day activities was very hard.  Feeling like you’re going to fall is not good for anyone.

  • I had severe leg pain and the only way to stand for any length of time or play golf was to take pain medication. It was also impossible to sleep in any position except on my stomach. I thought this was just part of getting old and I would have to live with the pain and limited activity. After about one month of treatments at Tasco Family Chiropractic,  I was ready to put Dr. Tasco up for sainthood. I could sleep in any position I wanted to and could spend hours at a time on my feet without pain. Thank you so much for giving me back my active life.

  • The symptoms of my back problems were lower back and hip pain, numbness in my left leg and foot, and electric shocks in my foot.  The pain was severe enough that I was barely able to walk or stand for more than a few minutes and I was forced to work from home using my laptop PC.  For someone who was very active physically, playing basketball, tennis and working out daily, this was a very humbling experience.  After undergoing daily conventional chiropractic treatments for three weeks and an MRI exam which revealed severe herniation of the lower back disks, Dr. Buller recommended that I consult with Dr. Tasco, before seeing an orthopedic surgeon.  Upon review of my MRI test, Dr. Tasco told me that I was a good candidate for decompression treatment.

The decompression treatments were fully explained to me and I was always made to feel physically comfortable during them.  I was discouraged initially because the electric shocks became worse especially at night.  Dr. Tasco encouraged me to be patient and to realize that pain relief may not occur until the end of the treatments.  He also adjusted the angle of the decompression and after ten treatments I experienced some improvement.  After about sixteen treatments I was able to resume working at my office.  I have continued to perform the daily stretching exercises Dr. Tasco recommended and these have helped me to resume most of my normal activities.  I would estimate that 90% of the pain and discomfort were relieved and as long as I spend most of each evening sitting in a recliner, I am able to function fairly well.

Dr. Tasco and his staff never failed to offer encouragement to me and to make sure that I was using proper technique for the pre and post treatment exercises.  They were very personable, caring and seemed genuinely concerned about my well being.  Dr. Tasco was nice enough to lend me his abs exerciser to afford me the opportunity to see if I was able to perform this exercise before purchasing my own.

I am very grateful to Dr. Tasco and to his staff and I would highly recommend decompression treatments to anyone suffering from similar back problems.  Surgery was my option of last resort and with the success of decompression, I have not had to opt for that.

  • I had two bulging discs.  I tried physical therapy, epidural injections, and a chiropractor who had me coming and going twice a day, six days a week.  I finally decided to make appointments with two back surgeons when a friend of mine saw an ad for “Spinal Aid” clinics.  I went to their web site and found Tasco Family Chiropractic close to my home. Dr. Tasco did a thorough exam and recommended the decompression table with adjustments and no surgery.  Today I continue to go for adjustments and use equipment to strengthen the muscles.  The majority of my pain is gone and I am able to be active and sleep again.

  • Scott… It’s hard to know where to begin…thank you seems so inadequate.  You have freed me from chronic pain that was well beyond tolerance; you have helped to heal my body and my spirit as well.  I have dealt with back pain for the major part of 38 years.  I have seen and consulted over 25 specialists, most of them surgeons; I have had MRIs, myelograms, CT scans, EMGs, epidurals and surgery.  I have worn a tens unit, braces, tried acupuncture, pressure point therapy, and ingested innumerable drugs.  I have been in various physical therapy programs for more than 8 years.  I have seen experts in neurology and orthopedic surgery from Santa Barbara and Pasadena, California, to the Cleveland Clinic, to Chicago, Illinois, to a team in Miami, Florida, not to mention the doctors I have seen here in Michigan.  I have also seen 4 chiropractors.  I have searched for answers and help all those years. I came to you at a time when the pain and nausea had broken me; I was giving up.  I called your office because a friend of mine had picked up your ad in the paper.  I came to a consultation, met you, and barely remember driving home, except for the pain.  You sent my MRI to another consultant to make sure that I was even a candidate for you program, and you followed up with calls.  If it had not been for your persistence, I would never have come back…it was just too hard.  It was because you believed in your ability to help my body heal, and I needed to believe in you.  Your commitment to your practice and your thoughtful calls brought me back. I have now completed my 20 spinal decompressions, not without setbacks.  You adjusted your treatment to my specific needs and took away the majority of my pain…you have made a difference in my life…for the first time in quite a while I actually have a life. I am a person who had studied the body and its mechanisms all my life; there is nothing more miraculous than us.  You have answered my questions and not only allowed, but made me a part of my recovery.  You have designed every visit to treat my immediate symptoms.  I have seen you treat each of your patients as if they were your only ones. Knowledge goes a long way to knowing how to offer care to people in pain, but you have something that goes beyond that.  You have an uncompromising desire to help people, and the touch of someone who can heal others. It took me a long time to find you Scott…you probably weren’t even born when I first started looking.  I have met some incredible people along the way; Each of them truly wanted to help me…and because I know so much, let me tell you this…you are a gift to everyone you meet…and you have truly been a gift to me.  So thank you…thank you for not letting me give up. Nancy

  • In 2002 I found it necessary to seek out an orthopedic surgeon from Royal Oak Beaumont Hospitals due to the back pain I was experiencing. I was so miserable I could only get relief by sleeping on the living room floor. The new expensive mattress we purchased did not help me. I made an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon, and after his examination he gave me a prescription for an MRI. However, after he read the results he told me I was not a surgical candidate at this time. In 2003 I again consulted with him because of increasing back pain. Again he did not feel at that time I needed surgery. The pain level had reached to the point that it was difficult to even carry a cup of coffee. The third time I saw the surgeon he felt I was now a candidate for a laminectomy, which I had done in 2004. Three years later I was once again experiencing pain like a drill was going into my hip and back and was told by the back surgeon that I needed to have another laminectomy plus a spinal fusion. I asked if there was an alternative to back surgery and he gave me the number of a pain management physician. He said if that didn’t work I would need another back surgery. After two of the treatments there was still no relief. A third treatment would be my call, and I decided not to have it done. I was boarded for another surgery. Before the date arrived the surgeon was called away on a family emergency, and the surgery date was delayed for several weeks. During that time I began to feel very apprehensive and questioned in my mind why in a three –year period my back had gotten so bad again. Ten days prior to my surgical date that fall, our youngest son saw an ad in the Oakland Press about non-surgical procedure, and he was excited to have me look at it. It was very interesting that he saw the ad Dr. Tasco put in the newspaper, as we do not get that paper in your county. I called Dr. Tasco’s office and made an appointment. After that consultation I went home and cancelled scheduled for the following week. Indeed, God does work in mysterious ways. After the recommended number of decompression treatments I can say there has been wonderful relief and healing, thanks to Dr. Scot Tasco and Spinal Aid Centers of America. Visits of Dr. Tasco’s office are always welcoming, and the atmosphere there is warm and friendly. I have had chiropractic treatments for many years, but the results I have received this past years far surpass pervious adjustments.  I feel very blessed by such a wonderful improvement to my health through chiropractic expertise.
